About
Monica Cook
Thank you for visiting my page. I'd like to share a little about myself. I am the spouse of a retired veteran. We've had the opportunity to visit many regions of the country. I enjoy traveling and photography. (I took this picture.)

I am passionate about mental health in our country. I strive to destigmatize mental health struggles. I want to empower you to take ownership of your life. I thrive on helping you accomplish your goals.

My primary modalities are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure Therapy. I work primarily in the "here and now", but let's be honest: sometimes our past still gets to us. I'll help you with that, too.

I work primarily with the adult population, but do see teens from time to time. I specialize in depression, anxiety, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I also see other personality disorders. I am trauma-, LGBTQ+-, and LDS-sensitive.
Experience
I'm going into my fourth year as a therapist. I specialize in DBT.
